Executive Management

Effective October 17, 2007, David H. Hannah, currently Chief Executive Officer was elected to the additional role of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Hannah, 56, became Chief Executive Officer of Reliance in January 1999. He served as President from November 1995 to January 2002. Prior to that, he was appointed a Director in 1992 and had served as an Executive Vice President and as Chief Financial Officer since he joined Reliance in May 1981.

David H. Hannah, Chief Executive Officer, relinquished the title of President in January 2002. He became Chief Executive Officer of the Company in January 1999, in addition to being named President of the Company in November 1995. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1992 to 1995, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1990 to 1992 and Vice President and Division Manager of the Los Angeles Reliance Steel Company division of the Company from July 1, 1989 to June 30, 1990. From January 1, 1987 to July 1, 1989, Mr. Hannah was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, and from 1981 to 1987, was Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Hannah became a director of the Company in 1992. For eight years before joining the Company in 1981, Mr. Hannah, a certified public accountant, was employed by Ernst & Whinney in various professional staff positions.

Gregg J. Mollins became President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2002. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since November 1995. Mr. Mollins became a director of the Company in 1997. Mr. Mollins was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 1994 to 1995 and Vice President from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that time, he had been with the Company for six years as Division Manager of the Santa Clara division. For 10 years before joining the company in 1986, Mr. Mollins was employed by certain of the Company's competitors in various sales and sales management positions.

Karla R. Lewis, a certified public accountant, was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January 2002. She became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company in February 2000 after serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company since January 1999. From 1995 to 1999, Ms. Lewis served as Vice President and Controller of the Company. Ms. Lewis was Corporate Controller of the Company from 1992 to 1995. For four years prior to joining the Company, Ms. Lewis, a certified public accountant, was employed by Ernst & Young in various professional staff positions.

Stephen P. Koch became Vice President, Operations of Reliance as of April 1, 2010. From July 2007 until he joined Reliance, Mr. Koch had been President of Chapel Steel Corp., a subsidiary of Reliance. Prior to that he held the positions of Executive Vice President of Chapel from 2005 to June 2007, Vice President of Chapel from 1995 to 2005 and had previously served as sales manager of Chapel Steel Corp.

James D. Hoffman became Senior Vice President, Operations in October 2008. Prior to his appointment, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of our subsidiary, Earle M. Jorgensen Company, from April 2006 to September 2008 and was in various other management roles at Earle M. Jorgensen Company since joining them in 1991. Mr. Hoffman was appointed executive vice president of Earle M. Jorgensen Company in January 2006, having been a vice president of Earle M. Jorgensen Company from 1996.

James P. MacBeth became Senior Vice President, Carbon Steel Operations in January 2002. He previously served as Vice President, Carbon Steel Operations beginning in July 1998. Prior to that time, he was Division Manager of Reliance Steel Company, Los Angeles from September 1995 to June 1998. From December 1991 to September 1995 he was Vice President and Division Manager of Feralloy Reliance Company, L.P. (a joint venture investment of the Company) in Los Angeles. Prior to 1991, Mr. MacBeth held various sales and management positions since starting with the Company in 1969.

William K. Sales, Jr. was named Senior Vice President, Non-Ferrous Operations in January 2002. He joined the Company as Vice President, Non-Ferrous Operations in September 1997. From 1981 to 1997, Mr. Sales served in various sales and management positions with Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp., a supplier of the Company.

Sheldon Tenenbaum became Senior Vice President, Supplier Development in May 2009. Mr. Tenenbaum joined Reliance in 1998 with the acquisition of Chatham Steel Corporation where he served as Vice President of Chatham Steel Corporation. Beginning in 1999, he became Director of Supplier Relations for Reliance. Chatham Steel Corporation is a subsidiary of Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. Mr. Tenenbaum has over 39 years of metals service center industry experience.

Brenda Miyamoto became Vice President and Corporate Controller in May 2007, having been promoted from Corporate Controller, a position which she had held since January 2004. From 2001 to 2003, Ms. Miyamoto served as Group Controller. For six years prior to joining Reliance, Ms. Miyamoto, a certified public accountant, was employed by Ernst & Young LLP (our independant registered public accounting firm for 2007) in various professional staff and managerial positions.

Donna Newton became Vice President, Human Resources in January 2001, after joining Reliance in February 1999 as Director of Employee Benefits and Human Resources, a newly-created position at that time. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Newton was Director of Sales and Service for the Los Angeles office of Aetna U.S. Healthcare and held various other management positions at Aetna over a 20-year period.

Kay Rustand joined Reliance in January 2001 as Vice President and General Counsel, a newly-created position. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Rustand served as a partner at Arter & Hadden LLP, the Company's corporate counsel, specializing in corporate and securities law. Ms. Rustand was a partner with Lawler, Felix & Hall upon that firm's merger with Arter & Hadden in 1989.

Colleen Wolf joined Reliance as Chief Information Officer in July 2008. Prior to that time, Ms. Wolf served as the vice president, North American business systems for Starbucks from October 2007 to July 2008 and as the chief information officer and senior vice president of New Century Financial from April 2006 to September 2007. From 1996 to April 2006, Ms. Wolf was vice president, information technology, supply chain and corporate finance for Mattel, Inc.
